Pedagogic Principles

Our main focus is well-being of the child. It is a matter of great importance for us to respect the personality of each individual child and to foster the individual development of age. In our childcare, the children are strengthened and promoted in their development and all three competences (self-competence, learned-competence and social-competence).

About us

Welcome to Tiny Toes, a private bilingual childcare institution offering a nurturing and engaging environment for children from 3 months up to school age. Our dedicated team manages and oversees the operations of the nursery, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning while prioritizing the well-being of both the children and our staff.

At Tiny Toes, we understand that each child is unique, which is why we have designed various age-specific groups: one for babies and toddlers up to 2 years old and two mixed-age groups for those 2 years and older until school entry. This allows us to provide tailored care and attention to support the individual needs of every child.

Nutrition is a key component of our approach to early childhood development. We prepare balanced meals and snacks four times a week that meet the nutritional, dietary and medical needs of the children. One day each week, we partner with a specialized catering service that delivers meals designed for young children. We believe that teaching children healthy eating habits at a young age is vital for their physical and cognitive growth.

At Tiny Toes, the well-being of every child is our top priority. We deeply respect the individuality of each child and focus on fostering their personal growth. Our approach supports the development of three key competencies: self-competence, social competence, and learned competence. We actively encourage children to engage with and shape their environment, recognizing that this period of development is critical. Our childcare environment emphasizes freedom and independence, allowing children to explore, test, and develop self-determined behaviours. As they grow, they learn to take responsibility for their actions and to respect others, laying the foundation for a positive and confident future.

Tiny Toes creates a sense of security and trust by fostering strong relationships between parents and staff. We prioritize a collaborative, supportive approach to each child’s care, ensuring that parents feel confident their child is receiving the highest quality care possible.
